HEWI Park in Nad Al Sheba 4 reimagines a vacant site between a mosque, schools, and surrounding residences as a contemporary neighborhood garden and community destination. The landscape is structured around a series of pavilions and outdoor rooms that support everyday social life, from informal gatherings to community events.

At the heart of the park, Al Saaha acts as a flexible community hub designed for celebrations, workshops, and shared activities, while Al Decha provides a calm, semi-open majlis-like space where different generations can gather, rest, and converse, particularly around prayer times. Al Yalsa, a relaxed café pavilion overlooking the park, offers a place for parents, students, and visitors to meet or work while remaining connected to the life of the garden. A small Baqala neighborhood shop complements these spaces by providing daily essentials and reinforcing the park’s role as a local meeting point.
The landscape design integrates indigenous and drought-tolerant planting inspired by the Sabkha ecology of the region, creating shaded pathways, immersive gardens, and natural play environments. A sequence of interactive spaces including exploration paths, flexible sports areas, and a Sabkha-inspired water feature encourage children and families to engage with the environment in open-ended ways.

Through the integration of architecture, landscape, and wayfinding, the park operates as a carefully choreographed yet informal public environment. It functions as a scenographic activation of neighborhood space, supporting everyday rituals, social encounters, and a deeper connection between community and nature.
